Shockara started on a kitchen table, with a renewal letter that nobody in the house could explain.
The guides take one question at a time, such as what changed, what a program tracks, or what a feature means for a policy, and explain it in ordinary words.
Things we will never do
There are no quotes here, no agent referrals, and no list of insurers we favour. Your details stay with us and are not passed to anyone who sells insurance.

Our sources and checks
Every guide is written by the Shockara editorial team at The Nelson M Group LLC from general, widely shared guidance, such as material published by state insurance departments and consumer organizations. Each guide shows the month it was last reviewed, and we revisit them at least once a year.
